While those surgeries progressed, other team members prepared the patient list for Monday's surgeries. It was a long first day -the adult surgeons were seeing patients until 5:30PM and the pediatric team didn't finish until 7PM.

The new hospital offers much larger areas for clinics, work space and storage and two operating rooms. As expected some procedures used at the previous hospital, Tierra Nueva, will need to be adapted for our new location. The team is devising efficient methods for storage and flow of surgical materials. The instrument cleaning area is small and is shared with the Tierra Nueva staff, but we are working well together.
