It's been a very busy week of preparations for our imminent mission to the Tierra Nueva Hospital in Quito, Ecuador, South America. Here are the activities of the week. On Sunday I hope to bring you the actrivities of the weekend -- more packing of more hockey bags!!
At the clinic planning and data entry process meeting on Tuesday, Saifee described his "straw man" for an efficient pre-operative clinic while John recorded.
Meanwhile, having loaded the database onto the laptops and checked out the router connections, Mark, Barb and Dan crafted a new ID card for the members using our new logo.

Thursday evening 2000h - CAMTA General Meeting
Saifee Rashiq, anesthesiologist and flow control engineer describes our plan for patient flow through our clinic. Success will be an efficient clinic for our patients!
Here's a close-up. Patients are either new or returning. And either pediatric or adult.
We decided to reduce the intensity of workload later in the week. Saifee developed a scoring system that allows us to place patients early or later in the week's schedule according to age or comorbidities.
And then at the general meeting it was Don's turn to describe the security situation in Ecuador!
With the formal part of the meeting over, the CAMTA members circulated around the Moreau household to 8 different stations. They picked up airplane tickets, signed their waiver and put their name down for side trips. Meanwhile Danny Baldassarre of Access TV was interviewing members on the lower level.
