Our new Glidescope

This year the CAMTA team has benefitted from the purchase of a state of the art Glidescope. This is the "go-to" device when intubation is difficult and has been used during several of our surgeries. The Glidescope is particularly helpful with patients who have small jaws, prominent teeth or a more rigid neck.

The Glidescope costs about $13,000 and was purchased using casino funds. Thanks to everyone who has worked a casino for us. This is how your time and commitment benefits our patients in Ecuador.

The Glidescope provides direct video imaging of the larynx. It can make difficult intubation easy.
