In our land of plenty...

In our land of plenty
Children need to learn
The necessity of helping others
In far away lands.

Eileen, Heather and Anne were busy packing at the warehouse.  Kylee, an eight year old, Grade Two student at Centennial School in Edmonton had some little gifts for the children of Ecuador.  Kylee's mother, Joleen, and all four grandparents came to see the preparations.
Kylee was inspired by her mother to give something that could bring smiles to the kids who will receive surgery.  She brought some delightful little balls -- bouncy and colorful!  There were also Princess stickers for girls and Spiderman stickers for boys.
It's not usual for CAMTA to accept such gifts but this is a great lesson for a child:  we must always think of helping others in far away lands!

Heather and Anne met Kylee's family too!  They were very busy packing.  Here they check off the contents of yet another hockey bag full of surgical gear!
The first team will be in Quito in less than a week!
