The Embassy of Ecuador in Canada

Every year they are so helpful at O'Connor Street in Ottawa. That is the home of the Embassy of Ecuador in Canada. I would love to drop in and see them one year if ever I am in Ottawa.
Hmmm --- that gives me an idea! Dr. Jay Jarvis lives in Ottawa. Maybe we can send him home with something for the Embassy! I'll think about it.

How do they help us? Each year they provide a letter of introduction to the authorities in Quito to facilitate our entry with the multiple hockey bags of supplies. There are over 600 separate line items of materiels. Some are light but most are weighty.

All that gear is packed now -- except for a few small things like the sutures that have just arrived and the loaner hematocrit centrifuge that we just borrowed from NAIT.

The first half of the group will travel by night to Calgary in a bus to the Calgary airport with a cube van following. That van is provided and driven by members of the Mayfield Rotary Club. Thanks to these Rotary volunteers for helping us out!

John
